It describes what this platform actually collects and stores today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer — have a licensed attorney finalize this before accepting real users, and update it whenever data collection changes (e.g. if analytics or email notifications are added later).
When you create an account, we collect the email address, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), display name, and account type (fan or artist) you provide. Artists additionally provide an artist name, genre, bio, and social links.
If you upload a profile photo, post, story, or release cover, that file is stored on our server and associated with your account. If you message another user or comment on a post, that content is stored so the conversation or post can be displayed.
When a fan makes a purchase, payment card details are collected and processed entirely by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number. We do store the transaction amount, which item was purchased, and a reference ID from Stripe.
We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you logged in between page visits (a session identifier). It does not track you across other websites. We do not currently use any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes in the future, this policy — and the cookie banner shown on the site — will be updated accordingly.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Payment information is shared with Stripe, our payment processor, solely to process transactions and payouts. Public information you choose to post (profile info, posts, releases) is visible to other users of the platform by design. We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties except where required by law.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we're required to retain transaction records for legal or tax purposes.
You can review and update your profile information at any time from your account settings. You can request a copy of your data or request deletion of your account by contacting us through the platform's support channel. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA.
Passwords are hashed before storage and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Access to the platform is protected by session-based authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information you provide.
The platform is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the platform's support channel.
