The Rulers Circle is a direct-to-fan platform that lets artists sell music, videos, merch, and experiences directly to fans, and lets fans and artists post to a shared social feed ("The Circle"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
You must provide accurate information when you sign up and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. One person or entity may not maintain more than one account for abusive purposes (e.g., evading a suspension).
Fans pay artists directly through the platform's payment processor (Stripe). Artists keep 90% of each sale; the remaining 10% is retained by The Rulers Circle as a platform fee. Payouts are sent to the artist's connected payment account. All amounts are non-refundable except where required by law or at the platform's discretion.
Artists are solely responsible for their own tax obligations, including reporting income earned through the platform. The platform is not responsible for withholding, filing, or remitting taxes on an artist's behalf.
You retain ownership of the music, videos, images, and text you upload. By posting content, you grant The Rulers Circle a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload — including any samples, covers, or collaborators' contributions.
Independent artists distributing recordings — including cover songs and permanent digital downloads — are responsible for securing any required mechanical licenses for the underlying composition. The platform does not obtain these licenses on an artist's behalf.
You may not use the platform to:
Users can report content or accounts that violate these Terms. Reports are reviewed by moderators, who may dismiss a report, remove the reported content, or suspend the associated account. Suspended accounts lose access to the platform, including the ability to log in, until reinstated. We aim to apply enforcement consistently, but all moderation decisions are made at the platform's discretion.
Any user can block another user. Blocking hides that user's posts and stories from you, ends any following relationship between you, and prevents new messages between you. It does not notify the blocked user.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Outstanding artist balances at the time of termination will be paid out according to the platform's standard payout process, where legally required.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Rulers Circle is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
